Would you love the chance to wear your wedding dress again? We are digging our wedding gowns out from the back of the wardrobe and wearing them again – all for a good cause. Come join us!

How can I help?

Its easy!  Instead of trashing your dress or leaving it forgotten in a box – give it to us. We will auction all donated dresses at the end of May 2013 and all proceeds will be donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland. Find out more about these charities below.

Is it just wedding dresses?

No, as well as wedding dresses we’re appealing for bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride and mother of the groom too!

Who can take part?

Anyone. Even if you have never been a bride or are a bride-to-be you can borrow a friends or family members.

Run or walk with us!

We’re running the Glasgow Women’s 10K on the 12th of May in our dresses.  It’s a lively city road race with lots of support and Scotland’s largest women only race. You don’t need to be married, have a dress or fund-raise personally.  All you need to do is pay the entry fee plus £5 to us and we’ll enter you in our runaway bride team.

Progress

  • Our target is secure 30 runners to help us spread the word and encourage people to donate their dresses. We have 10 in the Runaway Bride team.
  • Click here to see the runaway brides team profile.
  • We’re looking for 200 dresses – wedding, bridesmaids, mother or Bride and will have a charity auction of all dresses on-line, but you can come in and see them too.
