My approach to life is one of kindness, respect and humour – so the fit is perfect; being a Humanist Celebrant ensures I can offer all of these traits to a couple for the most important of days.
Janis herself had a Humanist Wedding and was inspired by the fun, personal, dignified and relaxed ceremony that she and her husband experienced. Her approach to life is one of kindness, respect and humour – and the Humanist ceremony offers all these things on the most important of days.
Based in Glasgow and, passionate about what Scotland has to offer, Janis enthuses about the incredible venues where couples can now choose to be married; from urban gems to lochside retreats. She feels that the joy of the Humanist ceremony is that couples can be wed in a place they truly connect to – and with a ceremony that tells their story.
Janis is a self-confessed happy maverick! A diverse background in public relations, events management and performing arts has seen her work in a variety of places from The Scottish Parliament to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – and perform in, direct and produce theatre and film with renowned creative organisations including Hopscotch, UNSCENE and the National Theatre of Scotland.
Many arts professionals have numerous strings to their bow and becoming a Celebrant with Fuze has been a natural and hugely rewarding addition to Janis’ skill set. She feels truly honoured to be offering her support to couples wishing to take the next big step in their lives.
“We would just like to thank you Janis for our amazing service yesterday. It was brilliant! Good luck with your future, you are made for this.” Mr and Mrs Morrow
